I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! When I bought my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their regular price is around $514.

Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
